Tried and True Fruit Salad

I couldn’t tell you it was tried and true and not give you a recipe. What I love about this salad, is that it can be made the night before. The citrus glaze keeps the apples from turning color. Keep in mind that I always substitute in recipes for creativity or because of what I have in the pantry; feel free to do the same.

Glazed Fruit Medley

1 cup sugar (I excluded)
2 Tb. cornstarch
2 cups orange juice
3 cups honeydew
3 medium bananas
2 cups green grapes
2 cups strawberries

For glaze: in a small sauce pan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and orange juice until smooth. Bring to a boil; cook & stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Transfer to a bowl. Cover and chill for 2 hours.
In a large serving bowl combine the fruit. Add glaze and gently toss to coat.

Serves 10
