CHRIST’S DEATH WAS NOT AN OVERREACTION

In a recent post evaluating her first year as a Resident Director, my friend Amber wrote the following words:

“Don’t be confused here in thinking that ‘humiliating’ is a bad thing. This has been one of the best years of our lives … All this, just confirms that The Gospel is real and true- that Christ was necessary and not an overreaction. Often with our lives I think we live and operate in such a way that accuses the character of God- that He overreacted in sending His Son- that our reputation is worth upholding, defending, fighting for- our rights worth clinging to the dust- that we can pay the debt and carry the guilt (that, crushed the Holy Son of God)- that we know better, can see greater, can bear the burden independently- can think clearly apart from the Mind of God (in His Word).”

Amen. Preach it Sister. You can read the entire post here.
