Teaching to Learn and Learning to Teach

Does the Bible teach Global Warming?

While reading in Genesis this verse stood out to me. Global warming isn’t talked about as much anymore but certain people and leaders still try to raise alarm and fear in people’s hearts by talking about “climate change.” Did you know that 30 years ago they thought an ice age was soon coming and would destroy the earth? Already they are starting to back pedal on the “global warming” issue by calling it “climate change.” They look at minute changes in weather patterns in the last decades, panic, and think man has to do something. As believers should we jump on the band wagon? I don’t think that as believers we are free to trash the earth, by no means, after all it is our God who created Heaven and earth. I do think, however, to join the paranoia and go overboard, to waste abundant time, energy, and finances which could be spent elsewhere cannot be justified. The earth is temporary, but the kingdom of God deals with that which is eternal. After all, we know who controls all things. We know that we are in good hands.

Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” – This is what the Lord God promises. Are you going to call Him a liar?
